The forthcoming seminar will address the pivotal role of energy storage systems, which have become indispensable across a spectrum of critical applications. From electric vehicles to large-scale stationary energy storage for smart grids, and the continual evolution of portable electronics, the demand for batteries with heightened energy density and prolonged cycle life is paramount. In both established global corporations and burgeoning startups, concerted efforts are underway to pioneer innovative battery chemistries aimed at enhancing our societal well-being. This seminar will serve as a platform to showcase a diverse array of approaches, spanning materials design, novel battery configurations, and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, from an industrial standpoint. By spotlighting these notable industrial endeavors, our objective is to foster collaboration between academia and industry, fostering an environment conducive to the collective optimization of next-generation battery systems.
